Back on 1 June 2010 the Bowland Stoves website whirled into action as a fledging venture yet nine years later we are still expanding and growing strongly. It is safe to say that over the last nine years we have seen some significant changes in the stove industry. We have seen some well-known names changing hands, some unfortunately going out of business but demand for wood-burning and multifuel stoves is still as strong today as ever. So, what have been the specific changes since 1 June 2010?
Watch out for our promotions
Firstly, during the month of June we will be announcing a number of promotions, via the website, email and social media, as we celebrate our ninth year in business. Even though we are entering the summer period, when hopefully the warm weather will appear, many clients find this the perfect time to carry out maintenance and repair, ready for winter. So, we will be able to offer you some significant discounts and special offers – keep your eyes peeled.
Stove safety
There is no doubt that the safety aspect of wood-burning/multifuel stoves has improved dramatically since we opened the doors to Bowland Stoves. The stoves and spare parts are now more durable and reliable. In tandem with the main stove market, we have seen significant expansion in the stove spares/replacement parts market which is now more accessible than ever. There is no excuse for reduced safety with your stove; any part that needs replaced can be with you in just a matter of days.
New stove designs
Like any retail business, demand and new trends dictate the shape and the style of new stoves. However, in many ways the stove industry is fairly unique in that traditional designs are still extremely popular and in demand today. However, we have seen the introduction of cylindrical stoves, double sided stoves, widescreen stoves and they are now available in an array of different materials such as soapstone.
Part of the furniture
Those who have an interest in stoves will be well aware they are now as much part of the furniture as they are a practical heating system. A well installed eye-catching stove will be a conversation starter amongst any guests in your home. Even the most subtle of positioning will not go unnoticed, traditional or contemporary the modern day stove is extremely easy on the eye.

As we touched on above with regards to safety, stove spare parts are now readily available and extremely easy to fit. We have access to all of the main brand names and due to our in-depth knowledge we can advise you on issues you may be having and resolutions.
