While Saltfire Stoves may not be as well-known as some of the more established stove brands, this is a company which has been developing a specific focused range of multifuel stoves for some time. The Saltfire ST-X4 Multifuel Stove, Saltfire ST-X5 Multifuel Stove and Saltfire ST-X8 Multifuel Stove are part of a range which is growing in popularity and it is not difficult to see why. Even the quickest of glimpses at the images shows these are well manufactured, expertly designed and are able to create the ultimate ambience. The after burner system is unique to Saltfire Stoves and enhances the already enlarged viewing area, with even greater variation for the flickering flames and the burning embers.

Saltfire ST-X4 Multifuel Stove

Saltfire ST-X4 Multifuel StoveWhile the Saltfire ST-X4 Multifuel Stove is the smaller of the range, offering heat output of around 4.1 kW, this is perfect for smaller rooms. The efficiency rating is around the 80% mark, heat output between 2 kW and 5 kW and the stove is suitable for use on a 12 mm hearth. This particular model has dimensions of height 489 mm, width 395 mm with a depth of 330 mm and weighing in at just 70 kg. The 5 inch flue (125 mm) has a top or rear fitting on the stove giving greater flexibility when installing your Saltfire ST-X4 Multifuel Stove. What it lacks in dimensions, the Saltfire ST-X4 Multifuel Stove makes up with its punch!

Saltfire ST-X5 Multifuel Stove

Saltfire ST-X5 Multifuel StoveThe Saltfire ST-X5 Multifuel Stove is the mid-range model offering heat output of around 5 kW with an efficiency rating of 82%. Despite the fact that European eco-design regulations do not come into play until 2022 this model is already fully compliant. The extra thick welded body of the stove together with the thick cast iron door have helped to secure DEFRA approval with the company going above and beyond basic guidelines. This machine is a little bigger than the Saltfire ST-X4 Multifuel Stove with dimensions of height 615 mm, width 460 mm, depth 370 mm and it weighs in at around 90 kg. The 5 inch flue (125 mm) can be fitted towards the rear or top of the machine offering options during the installation process.

Saltfire ST-X8 Multifuel Stove

Saltfire ST-X8 Multifuel StoveAs you might have guessed, the Saltfire ST-X8 Multifuel Stove is the largest in the range offering heat output of around 8 kW with an efficiency rating of 81%. As with the Saltfire ST-X5 Multifuel Stove this model is also eco-design compliant even though the European regulations do not come into force until 2022. DEFRA approval has also been obtained with the company going above and beyond the minimum requirements for approval. The dimensions of the Saltfire ST-X8 Multifuel Stove are height 664 mm, width 515 mm, depth 416 mm and it weighs in at approximately 120 kg. In line with other stoves in the range, it has a 5 inch (125 mm) flue size with a choice of a top or rear fitting.

Traditional stoves with a twist

All of the Saltfire ST-X Multifuel Stoves come with the unique afterburner system as well as airwash to ensure that the glass is clear at all times. The stoves offer heat output ranging from 4.1 kW up to 8 kW with the two larger machines already eco-design compliant and all stoves DEFRA compliant. These are extremely well manufactured and well-designed stoves, they have been in development for some time but it has certainly been worth the wait. Even though Saltfire Stoves may not yet be a household name, the growing range is already causing waves in the stove industry.
