As the summer months are approaching and the peak season for stoves is coming to end, we are now questioning if it is better to get a stove installed in the summer. No-one is thinking of a stove whilst the weather outside is nice but why not be prepared?
There is reasoning behind the idea of getting a stove installed this late. Here are a few:
Be Prepared
It is in the human nature to just react to the problem as and when it arises. But getting your heating supply installed in summer is getting you prepared and ready to beat off the cold when it comes.
Sales
As the stove peak season is in the Winter, you are less likely to find a bargain but come the summer months retailers are desperate for sales. Bagging yourself a deal will prove a lot easier off-peak and you will find retailers are more willing to give you a discount.
Workmen
Realistically, having the workmen in and out of your house while the floor is wet and muddy outside is not very appealing. So why not get them in when they are less likely to create a mess. Not only this but you are less likely to have your work cancelled as the weather is going to be slightly better, we hope.
Another reason to get it done in summer, you are going to have the pick of the bunch when it comes to choosing who is going to install your stove. As you know, installers will be extremely busy in the winter months with waiting times as long as 3 months but in summer you are more likely to find an excellent installed with short waiting times. BONUS!
Unpredictable English Weather
As we all know, the English summer is not exactly the best so getting a wood burner installed may be your saving grace when those summer evenings turn chilly.
