In 1993, Pevex Enterprises Ltd, was founded to import and distribute firebacks, grates, and traditional firebaskets to the fireplace/stove industry. As they progressed, Pevex expanded their product line to include fireplaces, and in 2004, the first stoves were released to the British market.
In order to supply the UK market with high-quality Danish Heta stoves, a joint venture with Heta UK was formed in 2005.
To develop the new Bohemia X range, the Bohemia range was further improved in 2010 with modifications made to the stove construction and the addition of new models that included a cleanburn firebox. After that, this range was submitted to Defra, where it received complete certification for use in smoke control regions.
The Serenity collection of inset stoves, which were specifically created and constructed to meet our fireplace needs in the UK, was introduced in 2011. These are straightforward to install and have sleek, contemporary designs.
The Serenity freestanding stoves, which come with legs, cabinets or pedestal models, were added to the collection in 2012.
After 30 years of operation, the directors made the decision to preserve and secure the company’s long-term future by transferring ownership to the employees through an Employee Ownership Trust (EOT) in early 2023.
Pevex started working with Firez Electric Fire Distribution in 2024, and starting in July, they took on the task of distributing Lotus Stoves from Denmark across the United Kingdom, Scotland, Wales, and Ireland.

The Bohemia Range…
Years of real-world design expertise have culminated in the Bohemia family of wood and multifuel stoves, which are aesthetically beautiful and perfectly suited to the needs and demands of the British market. These stoves, which are precisely constructed in steel to strict specifications, come with a cast iron door on the Bohemia X40 that complements both traditional and modern fireplaces, or a simple steel door to fit contemporary settings. The Brightwell Range…
Completely developed and constructed in the UK, the Brightwell stove collection comes in both landscape and portrait models, allowing for installation in a variety of fireplace applications. The Brightwell 900 Double Sided is a new member of the Brightwell family.
