The ever-growing range of Broseley electric stoves

Broseley Stoves have been a major player in the wood-burning and multifuel market for some time. Even though they introduced their first electric stove a while back, it is only recently that there has been an increase in consumer demand. Consequently, the expanded range of Broseley electric stoves now takes in a number of different products. So, why are electric stoves becoming so popular?

Acquisition of Broseley Stoves by Be Modern

Before we look at electric stoves in more detail, it might be interesting to briefly cover the history of the company. Many people are unaware but highly successful home furniture manufacturer Be Modern acquired Broseley Stoves back in 2009. This made a perfect fit for the company’s future plans, expanding and diversifying the group’s offerings. Thankfully, Broseley Stoves have maintained a degree of independence even after the takeover. This has ensured the skills and the reputation acquired in years gone by is maintained and not diluted.

Those who follow the industry will be well aware that Be Modern has invested a huge amount of time, money and effort into Broseley Stoves. We have seen the introduction of new wood-burning and multifuel stoves, ahead of their time with regards to regulations. Slowly but surely, after a period of research and development, the electric stove offering has now been expanded. It looks as though electric stoves will be a focal point for many consumers in years to come. This is perfect timing for a company which has a reputation second to none in the industry.

Environmental issues

Those who follow the wood-burning/multifuel stove market will be aware of the ever increasing regulatory burden on the sector. First we saw the introduction of smoke control areas and now there are even greater regulations on efficiency and emissions. While it is fair to say that the wood-burning/multifuel stove market is responding to these regulatory changes, many people are now looking towards electric stoves.

Not only do electric stoves significantly reduce emissions but for many they are also part of their room furniture and create a specific ambience. The fact that they can take centre stage or be placed subtly in the corner creates many options. It is worth noting that the modern day electric stove is the same design and look as a wood-burning/multifuel stove. Indeed, with some electric stoves it can be easy to mistake them for a wood-burning/multifuel stove until you get really close.

Expansion of the Broseley electric stoves portfolio

We will now take a look at the new additions to the Broseley electric stoves portfolio, see what they have to offer and why they are proving so popular. Thankfully, the days of the old two or three bar electric fire have long gone, replaced by modern highly efficient electric stoves. Let’s now take a look at the new additions in more detail.

Broseley Tunstall electric stove

As we touched on above, it can be difficult to recognise an electric stove from a distance due to the similar design and look of a wood-burning/multifuel model. When you look at the image of a Broseley Tunstall electric stove you will see exactly what we mean. Whether you decide to install it as a stand-alone model, in the centre or corner of your room, or look at the inset approach, the options are there. Whichever option you take, we guarantee that it will take centre stage and become a conversation starter amongst your guests.

The machine itself has a maximum heat output of around 2 kW. It is safe to say this is not excessive but there is more than enough to take the chill off a small to medium size room. This particular model has dimensions of width 410 mm, height 650 mm with a depth of 410 mm. The optional log store will add an additional 224 mm but we have to say it does look apart and does make a difference. For many it is the realistic flame pattern and fuel bed which make this model stand out and there is also an option to install a decorative flu pipe.

Competitively priced, user-friendly with an easily programmable thermostat and flame controls, it is not difficult to see why the Broseley Tunstall electric stove is proving popular.

Broseley Colman electric stove

When you look at the design of the Broseley Colman electric stove you will instantly notice the traditional look. The only difference is the fan towards the bottom of the electric stove which is obviously essential to heat distribution. The extremely realistic log effect fuel bed and glowing flames give the same feel and ambience associated with a wood-burning stove. It is also interesting to note that you can use the heat and lights independently.

As competition continues to grow in the electric stove market, we are seeing greater variations and options for consumers. For example the Broseley Colman electric stove comes in a range of different colours including matt black, cream and French grey. The heat output on this particular model is between 0.9 kW and 1.8 kW, enough to take the chill off a small to medium size room. You will also note that this machine incorporates the latest in flame technology and low energy consumption LEDs. In the current ever tightening regulatory environment, these are small but important issues.

The dimensions of the Broseley Colman electric stove come in at width 445 mm, height 528 mm with a depth of 272 mm. You can literally pick it up and plug in your Broseley Colman electric stove anywhere in the room. The look, feel and the ambience are exactly the same as a wood-burning/multifuel stove. So, it’s time to kick off those shoes, lay back and relax.

Broseley Qube electric stove

The Broseley Qube electric stove is an eye-catching and provocative machine which looks traditional on one hand but contemporary on the other. It incorporates a number of elements which are proving very popular amongst consumers with perhaps the extended viewing area more prominent. If you are looking for something a little different, then it is certainly worth having a look at the Broseley Qube electric stove. However, in addition to a quirky look, what else does it have to offer?

In many ways it is the simplistic look of the Broseley Qube electric stove which makes it stand out. While many companies have focused on the traditional looking electric stoves, it is refreshing to see Broseley introduce something a little different. As with the majority of electric stoves today, this particular model has a maximum heat output of 2 kW. Even though a remote control would have been useful, it is no real hardship with the manual controls very easy-to-use.

The dimensions of this particular model come in at width 435 mm, height 560 mm with a depth of 240 mm. There is also a dummy flu outlet which adds to the look and feel of the machine with the option to buy a decorative flu pipe. This model, perhaps more than any others, is seen as much as a decoration as it is a heat source. We know that the 2 kW heat output does not compare with a wood-burning/multifuel stoves but that is not the point of electric stoves. They are there to create an ambience as well as taking the chill off a small to medium size room. The quirky look, the realistic flame and fuel bed, not to mention the ambience it creates, it is no wonder it is proving popular.

Broseley Espire electric stove

It is important to clear up some confusion regarding the Broseley Espire electric stove which is sometimes referred to as the Be Modern Espire electric stove. As we touched on above, Broseley was taken over by Be Modern back in 2009 although it still operates as a separate entity from the parent company. Those who follow the industry will be well aware that Be Modern has invested heavily into Broseley Stoves and more recently the company’s electric stove offering. So, what does the Broseley Espire electric stove have to offer?

As you can see from the image, the stove itself is a traditional box design with everything you would expect with a wood-burning/multifuel stove. In many ways it is the simplicity of the design which is most appealing especially to fans of traditional stoves. The fact that it is difficult to differentiate the Broseley Espire electric stove from a wood-burning/multifuel stove says everything for the design. Even though the heat output is a relatively modest 2 kW, this is more than enough to take the chill off a small to medium size room. We know that many consumers view electric stoves as critical to their room decor, therefore the fact the Broseley Espire electric stove is available in matt black and ash white will appeal to many people.

Much of the focus in recent times has been on the environmental element of wood-burning, multifuel and now electric stoves. The Broseley Espire electric stove uses the latest in LED technology which is long lasting and with relatively low energy consumption. The machine is lightweight and extremely easy to install with the manual controls hidden behind the hinged door. The dimensions of the Broseley Espire electric stove are as follows, width 486 mm, height 586 mm with a depth of 290 mm. Many people are pleasant surprised at the ambience created by the relatively modest heat output of the Broseley Espire electric stove. However, for others it is the LED display and lifelike fuel bed which make the difference.

Broseley Elstow electric stove

When you take a quick glimpse at the extended range of Broseley electric stoves, sometimes they can look fairly similar. It is only when you take a closer look that you see the specific differences, the design twists and appreciate the depth of ambience they can create. Aside from the fan towards the top of the Broseley Elstow electric stove this looks just like any traditional wood-burning/multifuel stove. The curved viewing area is a nice touch, allowing you to watch the flickering LED flames and the lifelike fuel bed come alive.

It is safe to say that the partnership between Be Modern and Broseley has been a match made in heaven. There were natural concerns after the takeover in 2009 but Be Modern has invested a huge amount of time, money and effort into extending the Broseley range of stoves. Whether planned or not, the launch date could not be better timed with more focus on the environment and emissions than ever before. You won’t be surprised to learn that the Broseley Elstow electric stove uses low energy long life LEDs incorporating the latest technology. The heat output for the Broseley Elstow electric stove is between 1 kW and 2 kW which is controlled by an internal thermostat.

Moving onto the dimensions, the Broseley Elstow electric stove has a width of 570 mm, height 618 mm with a depth of 205 mm. The machine itself is lightweight and can be installed in any part of your room. We appreciate there are a number of new electric stoves on the market, many of which incorporate the latest technology, but this range of Broseley electric stoves is second to none. The design, the lifelike fuel bed and the flickering flames are reminiscent of an old-fashioned wood-burning/multifuel stove. So, kick off those shoes, lay back and enjoy the relaxing ambience of the Broseley Elstow electric stove. You won’t regret it!

Broseley Southgate electric stove

While we have seen a number of different designs across the Broseley electric stove portfolio, it has to be said that the Broseley Southgate electric stove is the most traditional. The first thing that strikes you is the enlarged viewing area which allows you to watch the lifelike fuel bed and flickering LED flames. The only thing which gives away the fact this is an electric stove is the fan at the bottom. Otherwise, you would need to be awfully close to see that it is actually an electric stove!

It is fair to say that Broseley, under the stewardship of parent company Be Modern, has not been rushed with the release of its new range of electric stoves. There has been significant time, money and effort invested into the Broseley electric stove range. To say that it is paying dividends, especially with the release of the Broseley Southgate electric stove, is an understatement. The timing of the extended range could not be better, the environment and emissions are front and centre for the industry. So, what can you expect from the Broseley Southgate electric stove?

The dimensions of the Broseley Southgate electric stove come in at width 550 mm, height 585 mm with a depth of 297 mm. Even though the heat capacity is a relatively modest 2 kW, it will still take the chill off your room. For many it is the mix of the modest heat output, the lifelike fuel bed and the flickering artificial flames which make a relaxing ambience. While many of the new electric stoves have manual controls, this one incorporates a remote. You will have full control over the five brightness settings and seven different fuel bed colours, which you can mix and match to your preference.

It is only when you see the Broseley Southgate electric stove in real life that you realise how lifelike they really are compared to their multifuel/wood-burning counterparts. Consequently, the ever-growing popularity of the Broseley Southgate electric stove was to be expected.

Conclusion

When Be Modern acquired an already successful Broseley Stoves back in 2009 there were natural concerns about the future direction of the company. Whether wood-burning, multifuel or electric stoves Be Modern has not left Broseley wanting for additional investment. The release of new electric stoves at a time when the environment is front and centre of everything could not be better timed. However, timing is fine but you need to back this up with products that tick all consumer boxes.

As you will see from the information above, the images and the technology, it is safe to say that these Broseley electric stoves fit the bill. In reality, you really do need to see these in real life to appreciate what they have to offer. We can’t wait for the next release from Broseley!
