Stovax View 5 widescreen stove hits the market

When you bear in mind that Stovax have been releasing widescreen stoves for an array of their brands, it was only a matter of time before we saw the View 5 widescreen stove. On paper it may just be a relatively small adjustment but it makes a massive difference to the experience and helps to fulfil consumer appetite for widescreen stoves – something which has been growing for some time. What should you expect from the View 5 widescreen stove?

Easy on the eye

The original View 5 stove wood-burning and multifuel stove had a boxlike shape with a slimline body. This style has been maintained for the new View 5 widescreen stove but there is a wider screen. The opportunity to watch the flickering flames and the burning embers in more detail has certainly enhanced the overall experience. Unless you have felt the deep seated heat created by wood-burning/multifuel stove it is difficult to find the right words. The words which bring to mind include relaxing, chilling and a different ambience which creates the perfect environment in which to drift off to sleep.

Features of the View 5 widescreen stove

While easy on the eye, what are the features of the View 5 widescreen stove? Well, the fact that it offers the latest in cleanburn technology and is already DEFRA approved for use in smoke control areas is very important going forward. Available as either a wood-burning stove or in multifuel stove the heat output is a nominal 5 kW with a range from 2.5 kW up to 7 kW. The efficiency rating is up there with the best of them at an impressive 81%. When you take in the airwash system, to keep the widescreen clean, and optional black ceramic glass top, you begin to get the picture.

The stove is currently available in a matt black finish with a top or rear flue outlet and is able to accommodate logs to a maximum length of 400 mm. At the moment we are still awaiting details of the stove dimensions but it will still be slimline and very easy on the eye.
