To be fair, the striking design of the Di Lusso R6 Cube is one of those that you will either love or hate, very few people are in between. On balance, this is the kind of innovation we need in the stove industry which can at times become predictable. It is amazing how stove manufacturers manage to incorporate contemporary designs round the latest in fuel burning technology. When you also consider they have the eco-friendly regulations to contend with, this is quite a tall order. However, when you take a look at the specifications of the Di Lusso R6 Cube, Hunter Stoves (the manufacturer) have ticked all of the boxes.
So, where do we start with the Di Lusso R6 Cube? If we take a look at the dimensions, the Di Lusso R6 Cube has a width of 760 mm, height 645 mm with a depth of 378 mm. The machine weighs in at an impressive 140 kg with an A Energy Rating, DEFRA approval and it is SIA Ecodesign ready. Yep, it ticks all of the eco-friendly boxes. Turning now to the heat output, this is classed as a 6.2 kW nominal machine with heat output ranging from 4 kW to 13 kW and an efficiency rating of 77%. There is a 5 inch flu which can only be fitted on the top of the machine as you can see from the pictures. As a relatively large contemporary stove, the Di Lusso R6 Cube is more at home in medium to large size rooms. While this is a wood-burning stove, there is the option to add a multifuel kit.
The Di Lusso R6 Cube has dynamic air controls and an airwash system which ensures that the widescreen viewing area is clear at all times. Even the quickest of glimpses at the flickering flames and the burning embers will take you away into a calm relaxed world. There is something hypnotic about a wood-burning stove, the look, the feel and the heat. While the design of the Di Lusso R6 Cube is a little different to the norm, in fact a lot different, it grows on you, it is different and it is certainly a conversation starter. Yet again, this is another of those contemporary design stoves which need to be seen in real life to be fully appreciated.
