While the design is a traditional box shape, the Classic 8 SL Ecodesign multifuel stove certainly packs a punch for its size. DEFRA approved for use in smoke controlled areas it has a nominal heat output of 5 kW rising to a maximum of 8 kW. The large viewing area immediately grabs your attention as does the sturdy structure and easy to wipe down surface. The fact that the stove is multifuel has obvious benefits in that you can use solid fuel and woodfuel. The eco-friendly design ensures that maximum heat is extracted from the fuel which also minimises omissions – leading to long term cost savings. It is no secret that this is the way that the industry is moving and thankfully the Classic 8 SL Ecodesign multifuel stove is already ahead of the game.
The stove has dimensions of height 655 mm, width 570 mm with a depth of 367 mm, weighing in at 100 kg. Built from cast-iron this is a stove made to last and it is available in black and white enamel for those looking for something a little different. The Classic 8 SL Ecodesign multifuel stove has a 125 mm (5 inches) flue with a top or rear option and comes with a 10 year warranty on the body. The rear and side distance to combustibles is 600 mm although the compact nature of the stove means you can place it subtly in the corner or centre stage. Offering excellent value for money, heat output sufficient for small to medium sized rooms and already Ecodesign friendly, two years before the regulations coming, what is there not to like about the Classic 8 SL Ecodesign multifuel stove?
