What about installation?

Gas stoves still require a qualified and approved installer. However, in the majority of circumstances, they can be easier to fit that a wood burning or multi-fuel stove. And if you don't have a mains supply of gas, a lot of gas stoves can also be connected to LPG.

The first step in installing a gas stove is to identify the type of chimney you have. This determines which model of gas stove you require. And if you don't have a chimney, we also stock stoves with a balanced flue. This means the flue seals the stove from the room and a twin pipe in installed from your stove to an outside wall.

Maintenance of a gas stove

Wood burning stoves and multi-fuel stoves do require regular maintenance. From the general upkeep of the stove through to regular chimney sweeps. however, with a gas stove, there is considerably less maintenance. The only maintenance that should be required is an annual service to ensure it is running safely and efficiently.
