The Charnwood Skye stove may seem relatively small but this is a stove which certainly packs a punch when it comes to visual impact and efficiency. Described as a state-of-the-art stove by Charnwood it is obvious that time has been taken to research and develop this particular model which offers an efficiency rating of up to 86%. Whether you go for the low stand or the log stand will significantly impact the look and feel of the stove.
Technical specifications
The Charnwood Skye stove is available in wood-burning and multifuel variations with heat output between 2 kW and 7 kW resulting in a 5 kW normal rating. As we touched on above, the efficiency rating is a very impressive 86% and the machine already abides by the Eco-Design standards which are not yet enshrined in law. The machine also has a DEFRA exemption which means that it can be used to burn wood in smoke control areas. This is something that is becoming ever more important in the world of wood-burning and multifuel stoves as regulations become tighter to protect the environment.
