It's getting colder and you\u00a0have been thinking about getting a stove. However, your house doesn't have a chimney.\u00a0It may be a newer property or simply doesn't have a chimney. So you have resigned yourself to a gas fire or electric fire. Well, you don't have to, there is a solution.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

The first step is to source an approved fitter who will help you with your final solution.\u00a0Sourcing an approved fitter is a\u00a0necessity. Always use a HETAS registered installer. Visit the HETAS<\/a> web site. The next section describes your solution and a HETAS registered installer will know\u00a0exactly what options will be available to you following a site survey.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

If you have no chimney, then there is a solution, namely a twin wall flue<\/strong>. You may have seen these flues on the side of houses, they are either a stainless steel or black pipe than runs up\u00a0side and are effectively a chimney. They can also be installed to run through the office and out of the roof.<\/p>\n

A twin wall flue pipe<\/a> is\u00a0made of two stainless steel flue pipes. In between the two is 1 inch of insulation. This insulation is for two reason.\u00a0Firstly, it keeps the outside pipe cool to avoid anyone who touches the pipe burning themselves. Secondly, it maintains an even temperature inside the second pipe to reduce the build up of residues.<\/p>\n

Twin flue pipes can run on the outside of a property or through the inside. The key\u00a0is the placement of the stove and knowing which route is the best. And that is why you should only use a HETAS registered installer. The cost of an external twin flue pipe can be anywhere between \u00a31200 and \u00a31700, so they are not cheap. And when you add the cost of a stove on top and the installation, it can be very costly. However, don't let that put you off. If you have already been considering purchasing a stove, then you will probably have been aware of the costs\u00a0already and once installed, you will love it.<\/p>\n
