ACR electric stove range

NEO3F Electric stove

ACR is one of the U.K.’s leading wood-burning and multifuel stove manufacturers with a range of eye-catching, durable and extremely popular products. The mishandling of the recent change in government regulations regarding wet wood and solid fuel has seen more people looking towards electric stoves. So, while the ACR Electric stove range has been in place for some time it is certainly receiving more interest day by day.

We will now take a look at the current products in the ACR electric stove range, what they have to offer and the huge leap in technology compared to traditional “three bar electric fires”.

Malvern electric stove

The Malvern Electric stove is the most compact stove in the ACR Electric stove range. As you will see from the image, it is more in line with a traditional wood-burning/multifuel stove design. Manufactured using high quality lightweight steel with a durable black powder coat finish, the Malvern Electric stove has a unique style of flame display. The flames are actually positioned at the front, back and middle of the stove which is fairly unique to the Electric stove market creating an eye-catching 3-D holographic flame. Oh, as well as the traditional orange/red flame there is also a blue flame option!

As electric stoves offer instant heat this has created a number of opportunities to enhance the experience. For example, the Malvern Electric comes with a remote control as standard with the option to program your electric stove seven days in advance. Pretty special don’t you think?

The specifications are height 555 mm, width 465 mm with a depth of 331 mm and weighing in at just 21 kg. There is an optional 1 kW or 2 kW heat output and it is fair to say that while the machine is compact it is proving to be extremely popular.

Astwood electric stove

In many ways it is a little pointless to compare the heat output from an electric stove to that of a wood burner/multifuel stove. These are very different machines although it has to be said there has been great progress made with regards to the electric stove technology. From a distance the Astwood Electric stove has the look and feel of a traditional wood-burning stove. The design is instantly recognisable, the large viewing area eye-catching and it is only when you get up close and personal that you realise it is an electric stove.

No expense has been spared with regards to the design and construction with high quality lightweight steel used to ensure durability. This particular machine has four flame settings, high flame, medium flame, low flame and glowing embers. The crystal embers and ceramic logs certainly look realistic with the added optional blue flame a nice touch.

As with the vast majority of electric stoves today, this machine comes with a remote control allowing you to preset on and off times seven days in advance. The basic specifications are height 602 mm, width 543 mm with a depth of 334 mm. There is the option of 1 kW/2 kW heat output which is more than enough to heat a traditional sized room. Weighing in at just 24 kg it is but a fraction of the weight of a wood-burning/multifuel stove. Certainly a lot to admire!

E-Trinity3 electric stove

The first thing to say about the E-Trinity3 electric stove is that it was voted the “electric appliance of the year” at the Hearth and Home Exhibition 2019. As you can see from the image, this is one of the few electric stoves on the market today to offer glass side panels. So, not only can you see the distinctive 3-D holographic flames from the front but you can also see them from the side. The crystal embers and ceramic log fire bed adds to the appeal as does the option of a blue flame. Whoever thought about the design of the E-Trinity3 electric stove certainly knows what they are talking about!

Interestingly, the E-Trinity3 electric stove also comes with an optional decorative flue pipe kit and black glass hearth just to finish off that look. Even without this it is difficult to tell it is an electric stove until you are up close and personal. Add in the optional decorative flue pipe kit and it is nigh on impossible!

The basic specifications of the E-Trinity3 electric stove are height 780 mm, width 404 mm with a depth of 368 mm. The machine weighs in at 33 kg with heat output of between 1 kW and 2 kW depending upon the setting. As is standard these days, the E-Trinity3 electric stove also comes with a remote control which allows you to program up to 7 days ahead. You don’t get that with many wood-burning/multifuel stoves……

NEO3C electric stove

The NEO3C Electric stove is best described as a contemporary machine with a number of additions which really makes a difference. The first thing you will see is the open cupboard base which adds to the height of the stove together with the optional decorative flue pipe kit. This is before we even begin to look at the front and side viewing panels which offer a glimpse of the flickering flames which have four settings, high flame, medium flame, low flame and glowing embers. The position of the flames, front, middle and back, a fire bed of crystal embers and ceramic logs really makes a difference. Then there is the optional blue flame for that realistic mix of colours.

As is the norm these days, the NEO3C Electric stove comes with an electric remote control which allows you to program the machine up to 7 days in advance. It really is difficult to know where electric stoves end and traditional wood-burning/multifuel stoves begin such is the quality of the design and the ambience created.

The basic specifications are height 1067 mm, width 490 mm with a depth of 390 mm. The heat output range is 1 kW and 2 kW and this larger machine weighs in at around 45 kg. Eye-catching? Yes, but there’s a lot more to this machine than meets the eye.

NEO3F Electric stove

The NEO3F Electric stove is raised from the floor with the extended legs really adding to the look and feel of the electric stove. The ACR range of electric stoves includes a number with side viewing areas as well as an extended front viewing section. It is not only the ability to view the flames from the side which makes the difference but also the heat and the light glow which enhances the ambience. Again, a unique feature of the ACR range of electric stoves includes flames at the front, middle and back, aside the fire bed of crystal embers and ceramic logs.

There is also an optional decorative flue which will certainly confuse your visitors who will have trouble recognising an electric stove against a wood-burning/multifuel variation. The traditional red/orange flame colour is further enhanced by an optional blue flame which is subtle but does make a difference. Until you see one of the NEO3F Electric stoves up close and personal, you won’t really get the full benefit of what it has to offer.

The basic specifications of the NEO3F Electric stove come in at height 786 mm, width 490 mm with a depth of 390 mm and weighing in at 34 kg. The heat output range is 1 kW and 2 kW which although less than a standard wood-burning/multifuel stove is still more than enough to take the chill off any room. The now standard remote control allows you to pre-program your electric stove up to 7 days in advance. Kick-off those shoes, lay back and enjoy the atmosphere.

Summary

It is highly likely that stove manufacturers across the UK will extend and enhance their electric stove portfolios as demand for this type of machine continues to grow. Thankfully, the old three bar electric fire image has been replaced by a more vibrant, technologically advanced machine which incorporates traditional wood-burning/multifuel stove designs. At the flick of a switch you will have heat in your room, 100% efficiency and a very similar ambience to wood-burning/multifuel stoves. What more can you ask for?
