The wood burning stoves UK market continues to grow with programs such as Grand Designs and other home-improvement programs feeding consumer demand for new products and new stoves. However, many people still have the impression of the old-style stove which is "dirty and dusty" when in reality this is very much not the case. So what can you expect from a wood burning stove?

While there are a number of smokeless zones around the UK there are many DEFRA authorised stoves which can be used in these restricted areas. So while in years gone by there may have been issues for some people with regards to wood burning stoves and multifuel stoves, the vast majority of those in the UK will have no problem using DEFRA authorised products.
